Spitfire
The Spitfire is the only rocket from new aircar upstart AeroTech Engineering. Founded by younger engineers from both RaceTech and Overdrive Technology who wanted to strike out on their own, take risks, and put their fingerprints on something entirely of their own design, AeroTech Engineering had the design thesis that power for an aircar was good, but it was better when paired with aeronautic engineering. For decades - the young founders of AeroTech Engineering believed - the aircar industry had been stuck in a rut. They tweaked old designs but never really innovated. So, they decided to strike out on their own.
They were designing their first aircar when the Toba flagship Leihnard returned from Earth with its precious cargo of dogs - and shortly thereafter, the first Rocket Dogs races were announced.
The engineers at AeroTech immediately knew that this was their moment. They pushed the aircar designs off their desks and bent to the task: designing the absolute best rocket for the dogs that they could.
The result was impressive - insanely impressive when you consider that it was their first ever design. Taking inspiration from combat aircraft from ancient Toba history (before they had conquered their warlike tendencies) and from World War II Earth combat aircraft (as seen in the tens of thousands of hours of documentaries recorded by the Leihnard) the Spitfire melds a high-power engine with insanely good acrobatic maneuverability.
