Polar Plutonium
Thanks to several frosty treats that use it as an ingredient, most Toba know that ice plankton is the foremost export of Polar Paradise. Fewer know that Polar Plutonium is number two.
At some time in Polar Paradise’s distant past a large amount of radioactive material was dumped on the surface. Whether this was because of a natural event (being hit with a meteor rich in heavy isotopes), or something artificial is unknown. What is known though, is that the particles of radioactive material melted its way to the bottom of the glaciers, where it has spent hundreds of thousands or millions of years, undergoing strange recrystallizations because of the immense pressure.
The result is Polar Plutonium, an endothermic fuel that, when added to a rocket, actually sucks heat out of the engine…which can be a boon for a Rocket Dog that wants to push his luck (and his rocket!) but is worried about overhearing.
