Cosmic Bulwark

When a Toba expedition visited Earth during the early Christian era Empire, teams of Toba fanned out to various areas of the globe. Some visited Imperial China, some were sent to Africa, others to visit the hunter gatherers of North America, and several teams visited areas of the Roman empire. While some small teams inspected human farming and engineering accomplishments, others went to witness battles (which were nearly continuous in that era!) One Toba exploration team witnessed a Roman legion battling German tribesman and were impressed by the both the shields that both the Roman and German troops used.

These shields were the inspiration for the Cosmic Bulwark - an item designed by the Toba Material Handling Phyle that projects an energy shield in a Rocket Dog, and which can defend against even the strongest attacks.
