English Bulldog
When the first English Bulldog was brought to Quantum Prime, the Toba dog trainers thought at first, based on its flat face, that it was an unfortunate creature that suffered from either a birth defect or an injury. Later, though, when the Toba watched the Earth dogs play in their new home, they saw that the English Bulldog was perfectly designed for one thing: ramming headfirst into obstacles (whether those are pieces of furniture, other dogs, or Toba who happen to be in the way of the ball or other toy that the Bulldog is chasing!) A bit more observation made them realize that English Bulldogs had a personality that was perfectly attuned to their physical traits.
Only the largest, toughest Toba were a match for working with English Bulldogs, and that’s how Nogroto - a Toba built much like an Earth American football player - came to work with English Bulldogs. He was able to shrug off affectionate English Bulldog ramming attacks during play time, and work with the dogs to channel their aggression, and use their head-first ramming to their tactical advantage when engaged in a Rocket Dogs race. Nogoroto has a running disagreement with his fellow dog trainer Goigako as to which is more powerful: an English Bulldog’s ability to destroy a trap, or a Dachshund’s ability to deliver a thunderous blast and knock another dog mentally off task. So far, they haven’t had a head-to-head competition in the play and training center, so they’re both eagerly watching Rocket Dogs races to see what happens when these two breeds compete.
